Exposure Award | Digital exhibition

Welcome to the Exposure Award 2020 digital exhibition where we connect the world’s leading photo-based art galleries and artists with PHOTOFAIRS’ community of collectors, curators and those passionate about photography.

Launched in 2019, the Exposure Award aims to provide a platform for photographic artists coming to the fore. The series presented in this online exhibition are united by the artists’ drive to push the boundaries of the photographic medium through an experimental approach, considered concept and cutting-edge technique. Below are nine online galleries to enjoy, including the winner, runner-up and seven shortlisted artists.

All artworks you see in this digital exhibition are for sale, with edition, print and pricing details all displayed in each caption. With clearly defined sections on the artist and their series, and deciding to make prices visible to all, we hope potential buyers feel as comfortable and well-informed as possible when they wish to make contact with the gallery. If you wish to enquire about a specific artwork, the gallery’s point of contact is found in The Gallery section.

From Germany to India to China, the artists showcased challenge our understanding of the possibilities of photography. This year’s applications were judged by leading voices in the photography industry.

The digital exhibition is live and all artworks are available to purchase at the PHOTOFAIRS website from September 11 to October 11. Accompanying the opening Exposure Award online show was Shanghai Photography Weekend which ran from 11 to 13 September and had a full program of events and exhibitions across China.
